All Sewn Up is launching their new blog on June 1st (hey...that's today!) and has enlisted the help of some of us bloggers to participate in their LAUNCH PARTY! And who doesn't like a good party?!? That said, I've decided to join the party! I'll be giving away one of my zippered wristlets (pictured is one of Anna Maria's Good Folks fabrics). Oh what the heck, I'll give away THREE of them to three different people. I have them in several different fabrics (not all Anna's). The winners can choose which one they'd like. They are so practical - perfect for holding keys, sun glasses, etc. Since we are full-swing into summer, tell me your favorite vacation spot in the comment section of this post and you'll be eligible to win. I'll use a random number generator to select the winners on June 8th.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite vacation spot used to be Lake Mojave with all the kids and our boat! We lost the boat two years ago in a fire, so we don't get to do that anymore! Now we go backpacking in the Sierras! This bag is so cute and would work great for all my little "goodies" that I carry around. Thanks for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite holiday spot? I adore Italy because the people are friendly, the scenery amazing and the food is delicious! Closer to home - I enjoy spending time wandering along the beach (especially in winter when it's less crowded).
ReplyDeleteMy favorite vacation spot.. Hmms. When I was a child it was spending the summers with my grandparents in Englewood FL. Back then it was a sleepy little fishing town with an amazing beach. We hunted shells and sharks teeth all day. Now that I have kids, my favorite vacation spot is a camp site called Boiling Springs; not very big yet just perfect to walk over to the river and float down in innertubes. *sighs* great memories. =)

My ultimate vacation has to have sandy beaches to bury my toes in. I don't care where it is as long as there's sand. I do particularly like Florida's Gulf side. :)

ReplyDeleteWe've been "camping" twice at Maho Bay Camps in St. John, USVI. It's not very rustic so I use the word "camping" loosely - they've got permanent tents and a good restaurant on the premises. But the experience of waking up and going straight to the beach to go swimming and snorkeling in the Caribbean is a wonderful adventure.
ReplyDeleteWe rarely go on vacation, but one spot the kids love to go to locally just to hang out and when the river permits is a sand bar in the middle of the river. When the river is low enough we can walk and sometimes drive out there and build a fire and have a picnic. River isn't good for swimming - dangerous for undertows and it is downriver from a mill so toxins are more than likely in there too. So we just hang out and enjoy the wildlife, the cool breezes and each others company!

ReplyDeleteVacation spot.... hmmm... Well, my hubby & I used to live overseas & there was a little island near our city. We would go there a few times each summer and stay at a little B&B. There was snorkeling in the clearest (coldest!) water I've ever seen (felt!) and great fresh seafood there on the dock. Loved it. And I miss it!

My favorite vacation spot is anywhere that I haven't been yet! Of all of the places that I have been- I loved the Island of Moorea in the French Polynesian Island chain. That is where I went on my honeymoon!

ReplyDeleteI'm a homebody who never gets to stay home, so HOME is my favorite vacation spot!
My fav spot? As a homeschooling mom of 7, vacations can be tricky and expensive. Our best spot is to visit our bestest friends in Perry County, TN. Takes 12 hrs from DC, but worth every mile. After all the gifts, the hugs, the good dinner, we love to just sit in the creek! It is so clean and pure, my kids swing from a tree, they catch fish and crawdads, and hubby and I hold hands and just wish like all get-out that we were raising our kids in an environment like that, where it's still safe and free.
